Saturday's Adventure!

We listed our house for sale on Friday night.. Spencer went to spend the night with a friend who's dad was home on leave from Iraq. Saturday morning 5 of the kids that were left, and my man went fishing with our Home Teacher. Myra was making up for having caught too many fish in Seattle, she didn't have much luck this time. As a team effort, Lilly -age 6, managed to catch and release 4. These are photos from the channel catfish her pole caught. Rachael noticed that there was a bite, the Home teacher borrowed a net to get it out, and the man that owned the net took our catfish home! (we didn't want it :D )

Holly and I stayed home to clean up the house. We got it cleaned up,and started to collect Household hazardous waste to take to the disposal at the landfill, when we got our first call to see the house! We ended up with an 11am and 2:30pm showing of our house. We had all just gotten home from having a picnic after the fishing when we discovered the message about the second showing so we all ran off to the pool (it was actually hot, finally!) After the pool we went to the church to help clean it for Sunday services, and then out to dinner. At dinner we learned it isn't really wise to give Holly (18 mos old) her own cup of syrup. She did pretty well, but got tired of dipping the french toast triangles into the syrup and started dipping the sausage, and her straw and then flinging the dripping syrup with her straw at mom and Rachael. Then she was using her straw for dipping in mom's food and trying to spread that to Rachael's plate. And Rachael wanted to know how she ended up with mom's chopped onion on her plate of Strawberry topped French toast! It was all good though. The first family who came yesterday wants to come back this morning at nine to show the house to their parents.. That is good right? We will be at church so we're good with that. What a very wild adventure.

It sounds promising that you have had people looking so soon after listing. I hope you are able to get moved prior to winter setting in. There is alot to be said about not having to move in 18 below zero weather with sleet and snow. It just is not the right time to move. Good Luck!!
