Baby Toys

Why do we buy baby toys? They are cute to adults but the kids could care less! What do they want? For Holly at 14 mos., she wants the pencils and pens, the acorn squash under the sink, the measuring cups in the drawer, the glass and cans in the recycling. Are these all safe? no, but you just try and keep them all from her. It is almost impossible. She is on a seek and destroy mission right now. I clean it up and she pulls it out. We have to keep the older sister's room door closed because Holly loves to go in and empty the bookshelves, and take the books over to Myra's bed (on the floor) and "read" them, preferably with a pencil if someone left one down. She also loves big shoes! If you by chance took yours off she would walk off with them, or try to put them on. The only "baby" or age appropriate thing she actually likes right now is the old Fisher- price people that go in the airplane, and a book called "I love my mommy because.." that is ten years old. We have a challege to find shoes each morning.... What fun adventures life is!
